I’m Brent. I live in New York City, and occasionally I play tennis & padel.

Past

I’m from Tampa, FL. I attended the University of Florida from 2011 to 2015, where I studied finance & computer science. I interned in the M&A group at a major investment bank, turned down the return offer, and moved to San Francisco after graduating.

I enrolled in a data science bootcamp, then worked at a sales tech startup as an engineer-lite / script monkey.

I then joined a tiny startup called Augment CXM as a machine learning engineer, building and deploying neural nets to assist customer support agents (prior to the LLM revolution).

After 2 years at Augment, I started Sameplan in 2019, where we productized mutual action plans for sales teams. Sameplan went through the first remote YC (thanks Covid), and during the fundraise, we were approached by Outreach, the leading sales engagement platform.

Sameplan was acquired by Outreach a year after its founding. I worked at Outreach for 3 years after the acquisition.

From mid-2024 to early 2025, I worked with a startup building AI for real estate developers, where I built out the MVP and first set of AI features.

I’m currently obsessed with knowledge graphs and program synthesis.
